Flag Football ’09

Congratulations to David Sapp and his kids. David was the offensive coach for the 2009 Bulldogs Tallahassee Flag Football team. Both his son & daughter were on the team. They almost went undefeated, only losing 1 game!

Top SEC Teams Almost Falter

Both Alabama and Florida squeaked out a win this weekend.  Alabama won against Tennessee 12-10 while Florida beat Mississippi St. 29-19.  The defense is strong on both teams, it has been the offense that’s under producing.  The Gators are failing to score in the red zone while Alabama’s star running back Mark Ingram was held to 99 [...]

FSU’s Come from Behind Win

“North Carolina all but handed Bowden a fourth-straight loss then outright handed him a 385th all-time win” is how Ed Harin describes what happened last night and I have to agree.  The Florida State Seminoles traveled to North Carolina and faced one of the worst offenses in the league.  Luckily for the NC Tar Heels [...]

Bowden Still Got It?

Here’s an excerpt from an article in The Famuan:  ”The city of Tallahassee is stockpiled with political figures and state affairs, but arguably the most renown public figure in the capital city is the leader of “the Seminole Nation”, Coach Bobby Bowden.” And another, “Coach Bowden’s impact on this community has withstood the test of time. Narrow Victory for the Gators

The Florida Gators had a small scare in their win against Arkansas Saturday 23-20.  The defense gave up plays they usually stop but this was probably because the offense kept losing the ball.  Twice Florida’s offense lost the ball deep in Arkansas territory.  Forcing the defense to do things they aren’t used to.  Hopefully, Florida uses [...]
